Melissa Paredes was born in Lima, Peru. She is a 32 year old model and actress.
She started her career in the field of volleyball with her mother Victoria Altomare. She played in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Junior Championships and the 2011 FIVB Women's World Under-23 Championships. She was named the top female rookie by the International Federation of Volleyball in 2015.
Her partner Sarah Pavan joined her in 2017 and the pair have since been one of the top teams on the FIVB World Tour. In 2019, they made history as Canada's first world champions and their victory secured their place in the Olympics. They were also honoured as the FIVB Best Setter and Most Improved player of the year.
