Tupac Shakur was one of the biggest rappers in rap history. He died in 1996 after being shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He was buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, California. Jada Pinkett Smith, his longtime friend, still mourns him to this day and is often seen with a 2pac tattoo on her arm.

He was a member of the Crips gang and was heavily involved in drugs and gang violence. His death was a tragedy for the hip hop world. Despite his death, Tupac's legacy lives on with many foundations and awards dedicated to him. There are also several films made about his life, such as All Eyez on Me, which stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as the enigmatic rapper.

Where was tupac Buried

The infamous rap star was cremated after his death and his mother, Afeni, has most of the ashes. It was announced in 2006 that she would take her son's ashes to South Africa and bury them in Soweto. The place was chosen because it is known as the birthplace of his ancestors.

Afeni has since spread some of the ashes over special places in Los Angeles and at her home in Georgia. She has a garden at her home where she scatters some of the rapper's ashes as well. Afeni's son, Mopreme Shakur, and her daughter, Sekyiwa, also have a part of the rapper's ashes. The two siblings are now in their 20s and continue to keep his memory alive with music and activism.
