Tom Ball came, saw, and conquered the Got Talent franchise with his powerful vocals and impeccable range. Since he made his mark on last year's series of Britain's Got Talent and competing in the spinoff America's Got Talent: All Stars, the otherwise-quiet schoolteacher has been busy with a career in music.
Despite being a secondary school teacher by day, Ball has been a performer at heart for years, performing in small pubs across England. His passion for music was ignited at an early age, and he was inspired by legends like Elton John and Michael Ball. He continued to sing for charity events throughout his teenage years, but he never pursued a professional career in singing until he was invited to audition for Britain's Got Talent.
In the end, Ball placed third in BGT Series 15 with his soaring rendition of Sam Smith's On the Wall. He also impressed judges, with Amanda Holden calling him "remarkable, unbelievable and unforgettable" and Simon Cowell saying that he believed had he chosen a different song for his final performance on the show, he could have won the entire competition.
Now, the British singer has released his debut album Curtain Call, available for purchase now. It features a selection of energizing covers that fans might have heard during his time on the 'BGT' series and AGT: All-Stars. He is also continuing to tour around the UK and has a number of dates lined up for the remainder of the year. He's also taken on a new challenge as an official ambassador for Diabetes UK.
