The ms Carnival Elation is currently in dry dock in Freeport, Bahamas where it will stay until February 10. During this time she will undergo a major update to bring the ship into compliance with Carnival Cruise Line's Fun Ship 2.0 standards. In addition to the new venues, the ship will be repainted and some cabins will be updated. The Carnival Elation will return to service on February 16 sailing a series of four- to five-night cruises to Nassau and Princess Cays, Bahamas.
This is a great ship to sail for families and bargain hunters who prefer a smaller, more intimate vessel without all the bells and whistles found on newer ships. Families will find tons of things to do, from the WaterWorks aqua park to all the delicious dining options like BlueIguana Cantina, Guy's Burger Joint, and RedFrog Rum Bar.
Adults can unwind at the Serenity Retreat, a relaxing adults-only area of the ship or bust a move in the Jekyll & Hyde dance club. The Carnival Elation is also home to several exciting entertainment options, from the Punchliner Comedy Club to Playlist Productions shows.
