The news of a horrific car accident involving Costa Mesa High School football coach Jimmy Nolan’s wife Taran shocked the world in 2020. The tragedy, which killed 3-year-old Micki Nolan and the driver of the other vehicle, 49-year-old Glendora Holmes, left Taran with severe injuries that rendered her unable to move her extremities.

Taran, who suffers from paralysis and a frontal lobe brain injury, is a fighter with an unwavering positive attitude towards recovery. Currently, she is receiving medical treatment in Southern California as she continues her journey to regain mobility. She and her family are surrounded by love and support, but they still need your help!

As of this writing, a fundraising page has been set up to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van that will allow Taran to travel independently and more easily. As a result, it’s important that everyone spreads the word to make this goal a reality. To date, the page has reached over $26,000 in just a few days! In the meantime, you can follow Taran’s progress on a CaringBridge page. Currently, she is only able to feel her hands and feet and is still battling bedsores. She also requires extensive physical therapy to regain the use of her legs and arms. Her biggest wish is to be able to braid her daughters’ hair again!
