When Sam Shelton was arrested for attempting to murder Ashley Reeves in 2006, the news made waves across America. Despite the fact that Reeves survived and regained her ability to move, she remained emotionally scarred by the ordeal. As she began to heal, she was bombarded with questions about what happened and who Sam Shelton was. Initially, she denied knowing Shelton and insisted that he was only her friend. However, after a while, she was forced to admit that she and Shelton were intimately involved.
Following his arrest, Shelton pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He is currently serving his time at the medium security Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, Illinois. He will be eligible for parole in spring 2024. He had tried to kill himself by ingesting prescription drugs, and left the words “do not resuscitate” on his chest before being rescued by paramedics. He was arrested and accused of attacking the emergency personnel, but the battery charges were dropped in February 2010.
In prison, Shelton has a very sarcastic sense of humor and is known for his wry smiles. He also has a strong interest in psychology and is a member of the prison’s therapy program. He enjoys reading books by authors like Sigmund Freud and Joseph Conrad. He also plays a lot of games and has a penchant for dancing. He has a good physique and stands at an average height with blond hair.
