Where is Norwegian Dawn Now?

March 17, 2024

Whether they’re first-timers who live near the homeport, repeat cruisers enjoying the high life in a suite or 9-to-5ers looking for a warm-weather getaway, Norwegian Dawn passengers are all about having fun. The ship’s mainly Caribbean and Bermuda itineraries and Freestyle Cruising philosophy appeal to a young, unpretentious crowd. And the crew, from the smiling “washy washy” folks at the buffet to the hardworking room stewards, is among the friendliest we’ve ever encountered on any ship.

With some of the largest staterooms at sea—ranging from a 3-bedroom Garden Villa with a piano to a massive 4-bedroom Penthouse Suite with butler service—Dawn’s spacious accommodations invite you to stretch out and relax. Stylish public spaces, including the renowned Cagney’s steakhouse and Dawn Club casino, are equally inviting. The ship’s excellent dining options include no-charge Asian and pub food, plus extra-fee Italian, French and Mexican venues. Entertainment, day and night, is plentiful, with matinee shows starring Second City comedians and an onboard magician and plenty of music, comedy and games in the Bliss Lounge, atrium and pool deck.

Despite its age—Dawn entered service in 2002—the ship still looks and feels brand new, thanks to the hull art, which was designed to celebrate NCL’s 30th anniversary. It’s also one of the more spacious ships in the fleet, with 12 restaurants, 14 bars and lounges and an eight-deck-high atrium.
