Where Is Markova Reed Now?

The news anchor has been a familiar face on WREG since 2002, and she’s known for her work on the Morning and Noon shows. Reed attended West Memphis Senior High School before pursuing journalism at the University of Tennessee, and she’s contributed to magazines such as Highlights and Weekly Reader. She worked briefly in Tulsa as a reporter before moving to Memphis and joining WREG.

During her time at WREG, Reed has earned several accolades, including an Emmy Award for best morning show host. She’s also been nominated for a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award, and her slew of accolades is a testament to her hard work.

In her time at the station, she’s seen the best of humanity, such as when Mid-Southerners reached out to a woman with lupus and her three children during Christmas by providing them with a tree, toys, clothes, and food. She’s also seen the worst of humanity, such as when she covered a story about a murderous husband.

When she’s not working, Reed enjoys traveling and staying active regularly. She’s also an avid sports fan and loves the Dallas Cowboys and Grizzlies. She’s married to a business executive named Christopher Scott Anderson and they tied the knot on October 15, 2013, in Savannah. While they haven’t been too open about their private life, they seem to lead a happy and successful marriage.
