When 19-year-old Kristen Cruz took the America’s Got Talent stage on Tuesday night, she stunned judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum with her incredibly powerful vocals. The Crowley, Texas native blew the audience and judges away with her rendition of “I See Red” by Everybody Loves An Outlaw.
Prior to her America’s Got Talent audition, Cruz was already a TikTok superstar with over 2 million followers on the platform. She often posts videos of herself singing popular songs while completing simple tasks like making coffee and smoothies. Her most popular video, a cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” has earned over 23 million views.
Cruz received a standing ovation from the AGT judges and a huge round of applause from the studio audience after her performance. However, she was unable to make it past the semifinals and was eliminated in the first round of voting. Despite not making the final cut, Cruz continued her musical career after the show, and she now has over 6.6 million subscribers on TikTok and is working on her first full-length album.
Kristen Cruz has also gained multiple celebrity fans following her AGT debut, including Ellen Pompeo and Ariana DeBose. She is also dedicated to her faith and frequently posts gorgeous renditions of Christian music on her social media pages.
