January 26, 2024

kevin alvarez is a professional football player who represents Mexico on the international stage. His dedication to his sport and pride in his nationality make him a beloved figure among football enthusiasts around the world.

The former Pachuca defender has been capped 13 times for the national side. He made his debut for the country’s senior team in a 2021 friendly against Nigeria and was part of Gerardo Martino’s squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he appeared in both of the nation’s group-stage matches.

He cried in court alongside Lesandro Guzman Feliz’s mother as video surveillance of the 15-year-old being dragged outside the bodega was played for the jury. He allegedly admitted to participating in the murder and also shared videos of the attack on Instagram to gain popularity.

During the trial, he was asked by prosecutors what his relationship was to the victim and he said that he was a “friend”. He added that he believed that Junior had become involved with the wrong gang and that his death was a case of mistaken identity.

He was not the only suspect in the crime and six other people have been arrested by New Jersey police. Alvarez was able to make a deal with the prosecution and is now testifying against Diego Suero and Frederick Then, two members of the Trinitarios gang, in their murder charges. He is expected to play a major role in the case, which could result in life imprisonment for both of the defendants.
