Where is Judy Gough Today?

February 21, 2024

In the quiet town of Boise, Idaho, three decades ago, a shocking story took place. A mother named Judy Gough drugged her husband, shot him to death and then got two of her young children to help bury him in the backyard. She figured her sick secret would remain hidden forever, but it wasn't to be. In a twisted twist of fate, her daughter Kimberly ended up telling the truth about her mother's gruesome crime.

At the time of the murder, Gough had been divorced twice and had three children from those marriages. She reportedly met Lloyd Ford, who was also divorced and had three children from his previous relationships, when he moved in with her in the early '70s. He was working as a long-haul truck driver.

According to court documents, when the couple split up, Gough received all of Lloyd's property including his house on Clark Street. She remarried and around 15 years after Lloyd's death, sold the home to her youngest son. When the new owner found the body, he contacted police. A sting operation was set up, and despite her initial suspicion (she questioned whether it was a telemarketing call), Judy made damning admissions.

In a plea bargain, Gough pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She is currently serving her time at the Pocatello Women's Correctional Center. Her defense team claims she suffered from severe domestic violence and a possible mental illness, though this has not been proven in court.
