LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – It was one of those behind-the-scenes moments viewers of WAVE 3 News Sunrise rarely get to see. Meteorologist Christie Dutton was dancing like no one was watching — except anchors John Boel and Lauren Jones. And what she probably didn’t expect was that they would crack up laughing. What she also probably didn’t expect is that some of the equipment she needs to communicate with her producer would fall on the floor and break while she busted a move.

Christy joined the FOX19 First Weather Team in June of 2007 from her ABC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky where she was part of a team that grew their morning show to become their highest-rated newscast. She also handled weather duties for the noon newscast and held the position of Weekend Meteorologist. A native of the area, she carries the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association professional seals.
