When fans first met Bobby Bruce on the third season of Last Chance U, he was already in trouble. The linebacker came from a rough and challenging background and struggled with self-esteem issues and confidence that got him in trouble. His story was compelling and it was hard not to root for him.
However, after a series of run-ins with the law and an on-field disciplinary issue, he was kicked off the team. In an emotional episode, he said goodbye to teammates, particularly Kailon Davis and his warm relationship with English teacher LaTonya Pinkard. He was also struggling to maintain good grades, something that Coach Brown wasn't willing to give him a second chance for.
After being cut from the team, he spent some time at home and managed to get a job. But things took a turn for the worse when he was caught on residence hall cameras entering a room that wasn't his with two other people and stealing a bag of cash. Those charges were later dropped, but his career as a college football player was over.
Afterward, it seemed like he had finally got his life together as he started a family with girlfriend Armour Imani and welcomed a child into the world. He continues to share wholesome parenting pictures of his son on Twitter, but it seems as though his life has taken another turn for the worst as he was arrested in February 2020 for possession of hard drugs.
