Ted Nugent is an American rock musician, outdoorsman and political activist. He is known for his frenzied guitar playing and energetic live shows, but he's also an outspoken conservative with strong views on hunting and gun ownership. He's even a board member of the National Rifle Association and has made inflammatory statements about advocates of gun control.
Despite his outspoken political beliefs, the Michigan-born Nugent is an avid hunter and wildlife conservationist who has donated venison to the needy in Texas. In addition, he's an advocate for the Second Amendment and a major contributor to a number of charitable causes, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
In his home state, Nugent has built a reputation as a man of action and a force to be reckoned with. The singer-songwriter has issued two pile-driving live albums in the span of three years -- '78's Double Live Gonzo and '81's Intensities in 10 Cities.
Theodore Anthony Nugent is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead guitarist and occasional vocalist of The Amboy Dukes, a band formed in 1963 that played psychedelic rock and hard rock. He later embarked on a successful solo career.
He began accumulating wild Michigan hunting land in 1970 and now owns Sunrize Acres, a sportsman's paradise that hosts trophy whitetail deer hunts and exotic ram hunts year round. Guests stay in a rustic cabin while they are on a guided hunt.
