When Noah Purvis joined the cast of Love Island USA on September 17, fans were shocked to see him disappear from the show a few days later. The 24-year-old was introduced on the Sept 17 episode and appeared in the Sept 18 episode, but he has now completely vanished from the series — with no explanation. However, CBS has now released a statement to ET that sheds some light on the mystery.

The statement reads, “It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island which violates his contestant agreement.”

Social media is a-buzz with theories about what happened to Noah, and many believe he was sacked after producers found out about his past career as a gay porn actor. Purvis has a resemblance to Corbin Fisher, and had been appearing in videos for the gay-for-pay website, Corbin’s Corner, under the name Ethan.

In his brief time on the show, Noah made waves by trying to get close to Moira Tumas and getting tangled up in the drama between Johnny Middlebrooks and Cely Vazquez. The pair were involved in a fight after Vazquez accused Middlebrooks of cheating on her with Mercades Schell, who was eliminated from the competition in the week prior.
