The cast of Discovery's hit reality show Street Outlaws is mourning the passing of a long-time producer. Ryan Fellows, whose car is featured on the series, was killed in a crash during filming on Aug. 11. According to a Facebook post from the team, he was driving his yellow Cutlass when it crashed into the back of an SUV driven by the show's producer, Mike Helmann.
Helmann was well-known for his dedication to the show and was always ready to go above and beyond to meet production demands. His colleagues held him in high regard and were eager to work with him whenever possible. Despite his busy schedule, he made time to help others in need, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Helmann, who was also known as "Kentucky" on the show, had been racing for more than two decades before appearing on Street Outlaws in 2015. He was an integral part of the production process and was loved by everyone who worked with him. Many of the cast members on the show have paid tribute to Helmann on social media.
