The meaning of a perfect circle is simple: it's all points equidistant from a central point in a plane.
It does not exist in physical reality, however; it's a mathematical abstraction. The only place a perfect circle can be physically rendered is in math, and that's with the Greek letter p (the number 3.14), which is often represented as pi.
A Perfect Circle is an American rock supergroup formed by Tool singer Maynard James Keenan and former Tool guitarist Billy Howerdel. The band has also included members from other alternative rock bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson.
The band's music is based on an alternative rock and art-rock genre with occasional heavy metal riffs. Howerdel composes the music and Keenan writes the lyrics.
Their first two albums, Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step, were well-received by fans and critics alike. The third, eMOTIVe, saw the band re-working their cover songs to make politically-charged songs and was released in 2004.
After a brief hiatus, A Perfect Circle returned with Eat The Elephant in 2018. This album is not only their first release in over 14 years but also their first to feature new musicians.
A Perfect Circle's first studio album in fourteen years is a moody, sensitive record. It demonstrates that the band has grown up and matured. The mellow sound is more in line with their earlier releases than the abrasive psychedelia of their previous work.
