When Sally Face started playing games, she didn't realize she had the power to make people think and feel different. It's something she has since embraced and is an avid technology enthusiast who advocates for the use of early detection in health care.
There's no denying that the nickname 'Sally Face' is a bit of a mouthful, but it's not as bad as some might think. The game's protagonist Sal Fisher has been nicknamed Sally Face for years because of a severe accident that he suffered while growing up that left him with a prosthetic face.
It is also a nickname he reclaimed from bullies in his old hometown. He is a strong supporter of gay rights and his friends Ashley Campbell, Travis Phelps and Todd Morrison are all members of the LGBTQ+ community.
After his mother's death, Sal and his father moved to a small town for a fresh start. After several events, Sal and his friends begin investigating a series of murders that seem to be tied to a sinister force casting shadows over the town. Using his handheld video game system, Sal begins speaking with the dead and learns their stories. Eventually, he and his friends discover that the Devourers of God are the culprit behind the killings.
