May 17, 2023

Robert Culp net worth was 5 million dollars at the time of his death in 2010. He earned this much through a career as an actor, scriptwriter, voice actor and television director. Culp was born on August 16th, 1930. He attended Berkeley High School where he did pole vault and finished second at the California Interscholastic Federation meet in 1947. He then went to four different colleges but never gained a degree. He married twice before his fifth wife Candace Faulkner and had three children with her.

His film career started in the late 1950s and he had some success but did not take off until his role as Kelly Robinson on the hourlong 1965-68 espionage series I Spy. This made him a star and he also appeared on series like Rawhide, The Man from U.N.C.L.E, The Barbara Stanwyck Show and the CBS western Trackdown.

The 1970s brought some better films, including the violent edged western Hannie Caulder and a reunion with Cosby in the far more entertaining Hickey & Boggs. The 1990s provided one of his best roles as the ill-fated President in the political thriller The Pelican Brief and he also guest starred on many TV shows.

He was also the voice of Halcyon Renard in the Disney adventure cartoon Gargoyles and he starred in some recurring TV shows such as The Nanny and The Golden Girls. In his final years, he was active in local civic causes and helped fight to stop the construction of an elephant exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo. He died on March 24th, 2010 from a fall near his home in Runyon Canyon Park at the age of 79.
