When I was younger, I used to listen to a lot of standup comedy. One of the comics I was really into at the time was Patrice O neal. He had a very unique style and just a really good sense of humor.
I liked the way he would talk about the heart and how it was a piquant sea for women. You know, they're sexable but not likeable and men are lovable but not sexable.
He also had a very strong point of view on relationships. I think it was really important for people to hear that.
In fact, that's why I think he was a great guest on the Opie and Anthony show. They have an audience in common, and it was a great way to amplify him.
And the other thing, too, is that he just was such an intelligent guy. He would make you think and he had so much wisdom in him that it just made you want to learn more about him and his life.
It's a shame that he died so young, but we have to remember that he was still on his way. He was just about to make a big breakthrough and become one of the best comedians of his generation.
