Lauren Lapkus is a well-known American actress, comedian and impressionist. She is best known for her roles as Susan Fischer in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black and as Dee Dee in the television series Are You There, Chelsea? She has also starred in the movies Dreamworld, Bread and Butter, and Jurassic World. She has also made numerous appearances on podcasts such as Comedy Bang! Bang!, Spontaneanation, improv4humans and her own podcast with the same name.
She was born on September 6th, 1985 in Evanston, Illinois, United States. Her parents are of Lithuanian and Greek-Serbian descent. She went on to graduate from Evanston Township High School and attend college at DePaul University, where she took improvisational classes. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles and began landing more TV and movie roles.
The next few years were particularly fruitful for her career, with a recurring role on the TV show The Big Bang Theory and major roles in Crashing and Animals.
