The actress whose rom-com appearance in Crazy Rich Asians pushed her back into the spotlight has been quite vocal about her health struggles. Kris Aquino, who is known as Philippine’s Queen of All Media, recently revealed that she has five or potentially six autoimmune diseases.

Kris Aquino has been putting her health first lately, as she takes a break from her hectic entertainment schedule. In a recent Instagram post, the celebrity mom shared an update from her doctor’s clinic, where she took her “baby dose” of methotrexate. The med is used to treat certain cancers, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis.

In the video, Kris Aquino thanked her team of doctors who have been working with her throughout her treatment. She also shared that she has been battling with fibromyalgia, hypertension, chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives), severe migraines, and an excess of thyroid antibodies. Kris Aquino also has crest syndrome, which is a form of systemic sclerosis and a connective tissue disorder. The symptoms of crest syndrome include Raynaud’s phenomenon, calcinosis, esophageal dysfunction, sclerodactyly, and telangiectasia.

The Aquino family is currently in the United States for her medical treatments. The Queen of All Media was able to spend Christmas with her sons Bimby and Bimby Jr., as well as her once TV daughter Heart Evangelista. Despite her health struggles, the Aquinos are doing great and their household is happy.
