Jack Earnest Roush is an American businessman who co-owns the NASCAR team Roush Fenway Racing and is chairman of Roush Enterprises. He was born on April 19, 1942 in Covington, Kentucky and grew up in Manchester, Ohio. He earned a degree in mathematics with a bachelor’s in physics from Berea College and later earned a master’s in scientific math from Eastern Michigan University. He is also an inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
He worked for Ford and Chrysler in his early years before he founded Roush Engineering Company in 1986. This company produced race cars for the Trans-Am and IMSA Camel GT series in the 1980s. In 1988, he traveled south and joined hands with renowned racing car driver Mark Martin to form a NASCAR Winston Cup Series team. Since then, he has won over 24 race wins in the series and several owner championships as well.
His company has expanded to other fields as well, such as manufacturing and development of office buildings and retail projects. The company has offices all across the country and has been ranked by Fortune magazine as one of the best workplaces for employees. As of 2023, Jack Roush has a net worth of $300 million. He has been involved in two plane crashes and is still alive. He has a wife named Pauline and he has 2 children Susan Roush McClenaghan and Jack Roush Jr.
