Gabrielle Union is a talented actress who has starred in films like Bring It On, 10 Things I Hate About You and Love & Basketball. She has also written four books, including two memoirs and a children’s book.

The actress, who is a wife and mother, has been very open about her difficult journey to parenthood and the joy of being a mom. She and NBA player Dwyane Wade welcomed their daughter Kaavia via surrogacy in 2018 -- after several rounds of in vitro fertilization and miscarriages.

She and Wade have also opened up about being a Black family in America, and how they want their kids to learn to understand and fight bigotry. And she shared a lot of her thoughts about race in Hollywood on NPR’s The Limits with Jay Williams.

“I think it’s really important to talk about the subject of racism in Hollywood,” says Union, who is currently working on her new movie Being Mary Jane. She goes on to say that it’s hard to make a film or a TV show that doesn’t deal with race.

In addition to her acting career, she is a fashion designer, an ambassador for Neutrogena and a wine connoisseur. She’s also a regular on social media and recently took to Instagram to show off her latest Miu Miu look that includes a plaid shirt jacket and track sole boots.

The actress wore the outfit to Marie Claire’s Power On summit (opens in new tab)where she spoke candidly about speaking truth to power. She paired the plaid shirt-jacket with a crystal shoulder embellishment to create a stunning head-to-toe Miu Miu look.
