Her big break came when she was cast in a series of Tyler Perry productions including Madea’s Family Reunion, Madea Goes to Jail, Madea’s Big Happy Family, Boo! A Madea Halloween, and A Madea Family Funeral.

Her on-screen chemistry with co-star LaVan Davis has led to some people believing that they are married in real life. However, the two are not related. LaVan is best known for his roles in Puff, Puff, Pass, Daddy’s Little Girls, and Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns.
