He went on to join the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League for the remainder of the season, where he had seven more games started and a 5-1 record with a 2.14 ERA.

Austin Gomber was traded to the Colorado Rockies with minor leaguers Mateo Gil (minors), Tony Locey (minors) and Jake Sommers in exchange for Nolan Arenado on February 1, 2021.

The 28-year-old is a talented pitcher who has compiled a 16-12 career record as a starting pitcher for both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Rockies. He has also been a part of the winning team in the College World Series twice and was named to the All-Conference First Team following his junior season at West Orange High School in Florida. He is married to Rachel and they have two sons, Beckham and Charlie.
