Angie Dickinson - Where is She Now?

March 14, 2024

If you've ever watched an episode of the NBC police drama series Police Woman, then chances are you remember the character of Sergeant Pepper Anderson played by Angie Dickinson. She was an excellent actress and brought a sense of classiness to the role. Dickinson, born Angeline Brown in 1931 in Kulm, North Dakota, had a lengthy career both prior and after the show and continues to make television appearances to this day.

Before her breakout role as a law enforcement officer, Dickinson had appeared in various B-movies and Westerns. She was over 40 years old during her time on "Police Woman" and worked harder than most of the younger actresses of the era. Her beauty and take no prisoners attitude made her a huge tabloid sensation in the 1960s and '70s. During this time, she was said to have had affairs with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

After her stint on "Police Woman" ended, she continued to appear on tv and in movies such as Dressed to Kill, Gunsmoke, Sabrina, and Wild Palms. In 1965 she married composer Burt Bacharach and had a daughter with him named Nikki. Unfortunately, Nikki suffered from several health issues including visual impairment and Asperger syndrome. She eventually took her own life in 2007 at the age of 40.

Dickinson is now 87 and still makes tv and film appearances. She most recently starred in the Hallmark TV movie Mending Fences co-starring Laura Leighton. Currently, she lives alone.
