I am a sucker for a good old-fashioned rock and roll show and there is no shortage of bands on my radar, but the odd ones out are often times the best and most spirited. Amber Run is no exception to the rule and their baffling eponymous brethren, Tom Sperring, Joe Keogh and Henry Wyneth are a cut above the rest when it comes to a solid showmanship of the highest order. Having just released their first full length album and embarking on a nationwide tour, the London trio are more than happy to entertain an earful of a crowd. This is particularly the case following a long layoff, when they are at their most creative and playful. One of the many reasons they are a band to be reckoned with is their frank and fun attitude. This is encapsulated in a single quote, no, no, no (I do) show where each member contributes to the esprit de corps and a show whose tenets they are all too eager to display and share. They are a band of true believers and it shows in their unflagging energy and enthusiasm when it counts.
